Kong
With the Kong series, designer Philippe Starck drew inspiration from the furniture at Versailles, creating a piece that is both classic in shape yet modern in its use of material. Initially designed for a Chinese restaurant in Paris, the Kong chairs and stools are suitable for both commercial and residential settings. The chairs and stools in this series are all handmade from 24 separate pieces of recycled aluminum, and like all of Emeco's chairs, the Kong is tempered for ultimate strength in a proprietary three step process. The Kong is available in hand brushed or polished aluminum finish, and is suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
